Hey guys!! I'm back after just around ONE FCKING WEEK.
So today I'm gonna give my own analysis and commentary on the new Friday Night Funkin' update, using fancy things like visual pictures and capital letters most of the time.
So let's dive in to Friday Night Funkin' - Weekend 1!
So basically the entire week I've just been playing this game a lot. The internet at my apartment cut out suddenly on Monday so I'm just writing this at school during class instead of listening what the teacher has to say so I can graduate from middle school.
Pretty smart, right?
So anyway the first thing I did was go and download the game onto my tablet cuz Newgrounds got hella glitchy. I went straight to Story Mode and went on Weekend 1.
I think we were all surprised by this cuz I thought Weekend 1 was gonna be Week 8, but hey I guess that works too.
A cutscene started out after I pressed play. It showed Pico walking through the streets of Philly eating a Burger King meal or smth like that. I would've been choking down that BK but c'mon, Pico. Where the fck are the fries lmao?
Then all of a sudden Pico spits out his Fanta on a poor old lady and sees Nene just standing there with a knife in her hands. Pico runs out and hides in an alley.
Imagine just chillin' on a Sunday and you see one of your best friends out to hunt your ass
Pico realizes that because he broke the deal Daddy Dearest and his friends made to kill Boyfriend (in which he instead sang three songs with him and saved him from the Tankmen), his friends were out to get him and kill HIM instead now that he was pretty much affiliated with Boyfriend.
And apparantely they're gonna stab his balls.
Pico doesn't hide like a coward though. He gets his gun and begins aim.
BUT unfortunately that leads to this really cool chase where Nene is after Picos head. I'll say this though, bro could beat any one at limbo. Like look at this
Eventually Pico quick thinks and shoots a lever, knocking down a ladder into Nene's face and full power.
And this is his motherfcking face after he gives one of his best friends a major head injury. "Whew! That was a close one!"
After that he bumps into that robot-tuned-speaker thingamajig and sees Darnell spray painting the word 'Newgrounds' in illegible handwriting.
We gotta admit that Darnell looks so awesome though.
Then yet ANOTHER pre-cutscene appears showing Darnell throwing a lit spray can at Pico, with him quickly shooting it, then Darnell and Nene laugh their asses off.
Dunno why Darnell sounds like a gorilla on crack and Nene sounds like a goshdamn witch tho lmfao and Pico looks so annoyed
Then the songs begin. I think KawaiSprite changed up the Darnell and Lit Up. Def not complaining though cuz they sound even more banger! I can't really detect any changes in 2Hot though.
Also Pico has this really funny death animation that looks VERY familiar to that one Pico's school death I think.

Anyway afterwards another cutscene plays (sorry, i frgt to take a screenshot), which I did NOT expect. It shows them about to fight it out.
Unfortunately Pico runs out of ammo and Darnell's lighter isn't working fsr. So they BRING ON THE FISTS!
The song where they punch each other is called Blazin'
I also LOVE the part where Pico makes Darnell flinch LMAO
Yayy I punched out his jaw!!
I'm sorry, but for this next bit I forgot also to take screenshots 'shrugs'
After fighting a little more they just stand there, badly hurt and bleeding. Then they both wipe the blood off their mouths and...
... Shake hands? Not expecting that!
They'e friends again yayyyyy!!!! I personally love that ending cuz it'd be a huge hassle if they were just enemies for the entire game.
Nene, although grudgingly, accepts being friends again, even though it means they kinda have to stop trying to kill Boyfriend now lol
Anyway I loved the ending, the songs, the ART, the fighting scene, the cutscenes and anims, basically everything about this update totally blew me away. Nobody could've been expecting all of this. No wonder it took them more than 1000 days.
And of course, that's not all!!
YAYYY NEW FREEPLAY MENU AND ERECT REMIXES!!
Well, most of them lol.
They totally revamped the freeplay menu! Beating Darnell's week unlocks those songs in Freeplay for you. They put Boyfriend on the DJ! And a new highscore tracker and sht!!!
I love every single one of these new remixes, even Spookeez Erect which many people seem to hate fsr. OK it doesn't sound much like the original but it's still a good song if you don't think about that part.
They even made SENPAI sound good holy cow!
Also they added this really humorous results screen where Boyfriend looks like he's about to explode lmfao
They revamped the chart editor! Now it looks more like a website or some kind of Windows program
It's gonna take me a while to figure out how to use it
Also this character editor!
And stickers! For some funny reason! Where's the outline on the third girlfriend sticker though >:(
And I think that's mainly all I found for the update. This update is definetely the best one yet. But who knows? Wonder what they're cooking up for Week 8, cuz right now we have zero clues. Whatever comes up next, we all know it's gonna be amazing.
